15 years ago more than 4,000 people were displaced from the Lower Atrato region of Choco. Two military operations would mark the local population’s destiny: “Black September” and “Operation Genesis.” In February 2012, in an act of remembrance for the forced displacement that took place, approximately 200 people walked together across the River Basins of Curbaradó and Jiguamiandó.
